Crosslake planning commission discusses dumpster enforcement, storage rules and upcoming schedule

At its Feb. 27, 2026 meeting the Crosslake Planning Commission heard staff reports on code-enforcement priorities and scheduling. Planning & Zoning Administrator Jody Grund said letters would be sent to properties with dumpster violations with a 30-day window to respond and that a second notice would follow if necessary. Commissioners discussed notifying fire and public works for compliance checks and agreed storage enforcement should be a near-term ordinance topic.
Staff noted the Development Review Team held two monthly meetings in February, and listed upcoming deadlines and calendar items: public hearing application deadline and city council meeting dates in March, Development Review Team meetings, an on-site visit scheduled for March 26 and the next PC/BOA meeting March 27. The commission recorded David Nevin’s application to be an alternate and discussed the Little Yukon property maintenance; Nevin also spoke during matters not on the agenda about observed outside storage at the Sundance Ridge site.
The commission adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
