The New Milford Board of Education approved two procurement awards June 17 for student support services and postponed an enrollment study procurement.
For health‑related student services the board approved RFP E‑2425‑006 (occupational therapy) and RFP E‑2425‑007 (physical therapy) after staff advised that ongoing relationships and past performance supported the recommendations. Laura Olson, director of pupil personnel and special services, said the district has worked with Integrated Pediatrics ‘‘for over 20 years and have never had a problem with quality of service.’’
The board opted not to award RFP E‑2425‑012 (enrollment study). Staff reported fewer vendor responses than in previous solicitations, significant price discrepancies among bidders and no identified funding for the study; the board directed staff to repost the RFP later and discuss potential town funding.
Motions to approve the OT and PT awards carried unanimously; the enrollment study award was withheld pending reposting and new funding.
