Danielsville council holds first reading of revised mobile home ordinance and approves Edgewood Extension name for 911

The City of Danielsville council held the first reading of a revised mobile home ordinance during its Feb. 10, 2025 meeting. City Clerk Kimberly (Kim) Davis told members she had received the final draft of the revised ordinance and provided copies to council members for review.
During discussion of a related road closure, Police Chief Cleve Williams said the closed section must be given a distinct name because a mobile home there has a driveway. Council members agreed to name the road "Edgewood Extension" for 911 purposes so emergency services can locate the property.
Clerk Kim Davis also announced the city will install a mailbox at city hall and phase out a post office box to reduce staff trips to the post office. The item remains at first reading; the transcript does not record a council vote on the ordinance itself. The council adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
