Echo Council approves Smith Lawn Care mowing contract, minutes, consent agenda and homeowner fence permit

At its April 8 meeting, the Echo City Council approved several routine administrative and procurement items, including a contract for mowing, approval of past meeting minutes, the consent agenda and a homeowner fence permit.

Quotes and motions recorded in the minutes show Councilman Mark Schettler moved and Councilman Wyatt Bendix seconded approval of the March 10 and March 24 meeting minutes; both motions were recorded as carried with Councilman Darren Gjerset absent. During the open forum, resident Cheri Sander requested a building permit for a fence; Councilman Wyatt Bendix moved to approve the permit, Councilman Mark Schettler seconded and the motion carried with Councilman Gjerset absent.

On a procurement item, the council reviewed two bids for weekly mowing of the cemetery and ponds.
