Dellwood council approves planning commission stipends, 2025 appointments and hires accounting firm

The Dellwood City Council on Feb. 11 approved modest stipends for the Planning Commission, confirmed five commissioners for 2025 and made routine council and contracting appointments.
City Clerk Joel Holstad recommended payment of $40 to Planning Commission Chairman Lia Lindbeck and $25 each to members for services rendered in 2024. Mayor McGill moved to approve the stipend, and the council voted unanimously to authorize the payments. Holstad also presented the slate of Planning Commission appointments; Councilmember Greg Boosalis moved to appoint Lia Lindbeck (Chair), Keith White, Beverly Driscoll, Roger Vadnais and Rylan Juran for 2025, and the motion carried unanimously.
Mayor McGill moved to appoint Brady Ramsay as deputy mayor and Karen Quaday as the council's Safety Officer for police and fire matters. The council also approved retaining accounting firm ABDO for 2025, with Justin Nilson identified as the city's contact. Boosalis seconded the motions and the council voted unanimously to approve the appointments and the contract.
In routine financial housekeeping, Clerk Holstad noted a $59,000 payment due to Washington County has been deferred until June and was removed from the January claims list; the council approved the adjusted Claims and Receipts list on a motion by Ramsay.
The council took the actions as part of its regular agenda and adjourned at 6:20 PM.
