Southampton Land Development Board unanimously approves minutes, redevelopment plan, police barracks review and multiple variances

The Southampton Township Land Development Board on May 7 handled routine business and multiple approvals during its regular meeting.
The board unanimously approved the April 2, 2026 meeting minutes. It then heard a courtesy review for a proposed 20,000-square-foot New Jersey State Police barracks at 123 Eayrestown Road; after testimony and review of exhibits and ERI’s memorandum, the board voted to deem the Capital Improvement Project consistent with the Southampton Township Master Plan.
The board also reviewed and deemed consistent a previously submitted redevelopment plan for 431 North Main Street after comments from board planner Mr. VanBernum.
Application 26-1303201 (400 Willow Lane) requested variances to permit a large in-ground pool, a pool house, a two-story detached garage and additional storage; the board approved increases in impervious coverage (to 20.12%), accessory building coverage (to 3.9%), maximum detached garage area (1,660 sq ft) and maximum garaged vehicles (10). No members of the public commented on that application.
Finally, the board memorialized Resolutions 2026.14 (123 Eayrestown Road courtesy review) and 2026.15 (431 North Main Street redevelopment plan). The meeting recessed briefly in the evening and adjourned after the recorded votes.
