Resident Nick Dunnom, of 346 E Pattison St., spoke briefly to ask what type of development the city would prefer if not a single‑family home and whether revenue considerations were driving the decision. Kochendorfer said the city aims to maximize use of the space but does not view the parcel as primarily revenue driven.
By consensus the commission asked staff to move forward with preparing proposals, submit the Brownfield nomination for a Phase 1 assessment, and return with findings; the item was added to future agendas under "old business."
