Council approves $2,000 bid to remove dead ash trees, moves September meeting earlier and accepts bills

Clerk Natalie Carroll told the council she had obtained a contractor bid of $2,000 to remove dead ash trees along the south side of the brush site while contractors are on site to do rip-rap repairs. Councilmember Tim Taylor moved to approve having the contractor remove the trees, and Diane O’Connor seconded the motion; the motion passed unanimously.
Councilmember Christian Padilla moved, and Casey Erwin seconded, to begin the Sept. 8 council meeting at 6:00 p.m. (an hour earlier) to accommodate budget review; the motion passed unanimously and the Sept. 8 meeting was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Dexter City Hall.
Separately, Councilmember Casey Erwin moved and Diane O’Connor seconded to pay the September bills and accept the August minutes and financial statements as presented; that motion also passed with all members voting yes. The meeting concluded with a unanimous motion to adjourn.
