Saline County commissioners approve routine fees, three fund transfers and Region 5 Systems funding

The Saline County Board of Commissioners on March 17 approved a series of routine financial items, including monthly fees and three small fund transfers, and authorized $32,973 in support for Region 5 Systems.

Commissioner Ray Rohrig moved to approve February Clerk Fees of $16,620.22; Brian Pribyl seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to adopt it. The board then approved February District Court Fees of $48,440.22 (motion by Pribyl, seconded by Rohrig) and February Sheriff Fees of $3,644.52 (motion by Pribyl, seconded by Karpisek).

The board approved Region 5 Systems’ FY26–27 statutory match of $28,532.00 and an additional funding request of $4,441.00 after a motion by Rohrig, seconded by Karpisek. Commissioner Brian Pribyl moved three resolutions to shift modest sums between county funds: Resolution #2026-018 to transfer $1,800 from the Inheritance Fund to the General Fund; Resolution #2026-019 to transfer $1,300 from the General Fund to the Victim/Witness Fund; and Resolution #2026-020 to transfer $500 from the General Fund to the Juvenile Services Aid Program Fund. Each resolution passed by recorded vote.

The board’s approvals were routine and passed on voice or recorded votes with no recorded opposition. The meeting continued to other agenda items, including road and bridge agreements and a separate discussion about bids for an old jail renovation.
