Board grants 2025–26 leave to Northville music teacher

The New Milford Board of Education unanimously approved a leave of absence on Aug. 19 for Amelia Belardinelli, a music teacher at Northville School, for the 2025–26 school year.
Dr. Janet Parlato, Superintendent of Schools, told the board that the request goes to her office for contract review and then is added to the board agenda for formal approval. She said the district is working to identify a temporary hire to cover the position during the leave. The motion to approve was moved by Mr. Brian McCauley and seconded by Mrs. Tammy McInerney.
The board took no additional personnel actions at the meeting; staff said they will report on any temporary hires and updates on the employment report at upcoming meetings.
