The Hobart planning board voted to approve the final plat and an amended site plan for Racetrack Incorporated (petition 25‑38), after Polar Engineering said it had addressed staff comments and coordinated required roadway dedications and easements.
Ben Sumeet of Polar Engineering said the final plat bundles the previously approved site plan with public roadway plans and reflects recent changes tied to INDOT work. "We've been working closely with the city in the past couple of weeks to address all comments that staff had," Sumeet said, noting the final site plan includes right‑of‑way dedications and minor adjustments required by highway and traffic reviews.
Staff and the board discussed pavement, curb and culvert work associated with added turn lanes and recommended final approval. A motion to grant final plat approval and accept the amended site plan carried by voice vote.
Board members asked the petitioner to provide finalized documents for filing and noted minor remaining edits would be handled administratively.
