The West Haven City Council approved change order number five to add a shroud and exhaust to the previously ordered generator for the 2700 West lift station.
A staff member explained that when the generator was ordered nearly two years earlier the exact shroud and exhaust specifications for the building were not known; the change order adds those components. The staff recommendation to approve the change order was made on that basis. A council member moved to approve, another seconded, and the motion passed on roll call with unanimous 'Aye' votes.
The council also approved the consent agenda, which included the April 20 minutes, billing adjustments for April 2026, and monthly accounts payable for June 2026. Items listed on the consent agenda in the transcript included: Gardner Engineering invoice $17,320.99 (invoice 6565) for 2700 West lift station engineering; Advance Lining pay application (amount unclear in the transcript); a Curiel/Curio Construction pay application for $184,882.23 (pay app 6) and $287,375.00 (pay app 7) for the 2700 West lift station; West Haven City administrative services invoice $55,632.15 (invoice 06202607); garbage fees $172,351.32 for April; and storm drain fees $58,515.35 for April.
A motion to approve the full consent agenda was made and seconded, and the council approved the items by roll call. Council members briefly discussed scheduling Curio's participation at a future meeting before moving to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned after a final motion and roll call.
