An agency representative presented an EDA lump services agreement between Parke County and Vermillion County and asked the commission to approve the contract and allow electronic signatures so both counties can complete the agreement.
The representative said counsel on both sides had reviewed the terms and that the contract auto‑renews annually, with counties still able to cancel in writing. Committee member moved to approve the service agreement and authorize Jim (staff) to sign via DocuSign; the motion was seconded and carried.
Commissioners confirmed that the auditor’s office would receive copies and that each county’s counsel and the state board of accounts would review the contract as appropriate. Staff will finalize the DocuSign exchange after Vermillion County also approves the agreement.
