On March 19 the Franklin County Legislature unanimously adopted Resolution No. 77 to create and fill two temporary Law Clerk positions for the Public Defender's Office. The positions are competitive class, management D, with a base salary of $87,029 and limited to a one-year duration. The resolution authorizes the Public Defender’s Office to fill the positions using monies within its budget and specifies the positions will be abolished when the incumbents are admitted to the New York State Bar and placed into approved Assistant Public Defender roles.
