Board member Amy Donovan-Palmer asked whether members had read the draft regulations and invited comment. Mrs. Beura observed that the board currently has Kratom listed as a full ban on the product and related items. Members acknowledged there is still a lot that is unknown about Kratom and its regulation.
Chair Kasia Frenette said the board could have final regulations written up to vote on at the next meeting, should members decide to move forward. The minutes do not record a final decision to change policy at this meeting; they record an intention to prepare final regulations for future consideration.
