The Select Board handled several consent and administrative actions by unanimous votes.
- Minutes: Select Board member Mark Phelps moved and MLP Manager Ken McInerney seconded approval of the Sept. 22, 2025 meeting minutes; the motion passed unanimously.
- Trick or Treat: Ken McInerney moved and Mark Phelps seconded to set trick‑or‑treat hours for Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; the motion passed unanimously.
- Tax portal: After a demonstration from Vadar, Mark Phelps moved to adopt the vendor’s tax‑payment portal, which allows taxpayers to view and pay bills online at no cost to the town; Ken McInerney seconded and the motion passed. Treasurer Lori Jayko will contact Vadar to begin implementation.
- Printer ink and domain renewal: Mark moved, Ken seconded, and the board authorized the treasurer to purchase printer ink not to exceed $90 and to pay $20 to renew the domain newashford‑ma.us with the town credit card.
The warrant was reviewed and signed. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2025, to follow the public hearing.
