Sand Lake board approves connection-fee ordinance, water-fee resolution and multiple fund measures

The Village of Sand Lake board voted on a package of ordinances, resolutions and routine items during its Feb. 17, 2025, regular meeting.
The board approved Ordinance 2025-01, an amendment to the village Code of Ordinances governing connection fees. The motion to approve was made by Trustee Wright and supported by Trustee Camilleri; the roll call vote was recorded as all yes and the ordinance carried. On a separate motion by Trustee Camilleri with Trustee Helton supporting, the board approved Resolution 2025-01 establishing the water connection fee; that vote was unanimous.
The board also approved Resolution 2025-02 creating a Rubbish Fund (motion by Wright; Camilleri supported) and Resolution 2025-03 establishing a Local Street Fund (motion by Helton; Wright supported). Both resolutions passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
In addition, the board approved updates to the employee handbook (motion by Trustee Christensen, Merritt supported) and accepted routine consent-agenda items including minutes, the treasurer’s report and department reports. Each motion passed by roll-call vote as noted in the meeting minutes.
The board set its next regular meeting for March 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
