At the April 13 meeting, owner and land steward Gail Rothschild told the commission she has been hand-removing introduced invasive plants on her property at the end of Still Meadow Road and submitted a pre-application for review.
Rothschild said she is addressing and “removing introduced ecological disrupters” by hand. Commission members complimented her stewardship, provided the SIWWC brochure on disposing of invasive plants, and advised her to submit a formal application with the required fee; members suggested she seek a five-year maintenance permit to continue her work and to include disposal methods in the formal submission.
The commission recorded the pre-application as a site visit and expects Rothschild to return with a completed application describing her methods of removal and disposal.
