The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority Mortgage Committee on July 23 recommended that the CHFA Board consider allocating $1,000,000 of recycled Community Investment Account funds to establish a Housing Authority Resident Program for resident services in state-sponsored housing portfolio properties owned by housing authorities. Karen Futoma, CHFA Resident Services Outreach Officer, presented the resolution.
The motion was made by Lisa Tepper Bates and seconded by Seila Mosquera-Bruno; the committee voted by roll call and was unanimously in favor of forwarding the allocation to the Board of Directors for consideration. The minutes state the allocation is intended to establish resident services programming in properties owned by housing authorities within CHFA's State Sponsored Housing Portfolio.
The recommendation moves the proposal to the Board of Directors for final approval and any decision on fund disbursement and program design.
Next steps: Board consideration and subsequent program implementation planning, if approved.
