Select Board Chair Jason Jayko said the board accepted a bid from KLC Construction Corp to provide snowplow services for two years at $75,000, after the town received two bids during the Sept. 22 meeting. MLP Manager Ken McInerney moved to accept KLC's two-year proposal; Select Board member Mark Phelps seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve it.
The two bids opened at the meeting were J Galusha Contracting at $65,000 per year and KLC Construction Corp at $75,000 for two years. The board did not record any conditions or amendments to the award during the meeting. The decision secures contracted winter maintenance for the coming seasons and sets the budgetary commitment the town will carry for snow removal services.
The award follows the town's routine procurement process for road maintenance services. The town will incorporate the contract into the MLP/Select Board budget and proceed with any required administrative steps to finalize the agreement.
