Whately Conservation Commission accepts minutes, expects RDA for Rainbow Motel and will circulate timber-harvest plan

At its May 21 meeting the Whately Conservation Commission unanimously accepted April 16 minutes, was told a Request for Determination of Applicability for demolition of the fire-damaged Rainbow Motel will likely be submitted for June 18, and learned the Commission received a Forest Cutting Plan for a proposed timber harvest that the chair will circulate.
The Whately Conservation Commission on May 21 voted unanimously to accept the minutes of its April 16 meeting with one amendment.
Conservation Agent Kelly Kowal told commissioners she expects a Request for Determination of Applicability for demolition of the fire-damaged Rainbow Motel on State Road to be submitted for consideration at the Commission's June 18 meeting.
Chair Scott Jackson also informed the Commission that a Forest Cutting Plan from Ry Patton for a proposed timber harvest on land off Grass Hill Road owned by Christina and Nicholas Barrett was received; Jackson said he would scan and circulate the plan to other commissioners via email.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
