The Coastal Public Schools Board approved transportation routes for the 2026–27 school year after staff reported they had driven the routes with drivers to confirm stops and timing.
Staff said several stops marked in red were eliminated because students at those stops had graduated, moved out of district or otherwise no longer required pickup. The Ashland route’s schedule was adjusted because Devil Court moved roughly a half‑mile north, which will add about one minute to that run; other small timing changes will be made when final times are determined. Administrators noted they plan to continue two current routes and add one route when an additional driver is available.
A motion to approve the routes as presented passed by motion and second. The board and staff said final times will be set later and that the route map distributed at the meeting reflected the staff drive‑through findings.
