Utica Community Schools honors two CTE students and inducts longtime theatre teacher into Hall of Fame

Geoffrey Clark, Director of Career and Technical Education, announced that Utica Community Schools seniors Aneeka Mondal (Stevenson High School, CSI CTE Mechatronics) and Dylan Urban (Utica High School, CTE Accounting) were honored at the 36th Macomb Career Technical Education Administrators Association awards on Feb. 6.
Clark described Aneeka as an academically strong, award‑winning mechatronics student active in extracurriculars and Dylan as an advanced accounting student with strong analytical skills. The board and Mr. Monroe congratulated both students on their accomplishments in the CTE program.
Separately, Kim Charland, Executive Director of Secondary Curriculum and Programs, reported that Utica High School teacher Joel Kaczmarczyk was inducted into the Michigan Educational Theatre Association Hall of Fame in December for a multi‑decade record of producing school theatre and supporting statewide events.
