Village resident and presenter Zoe Elrick offered a 16-page early-concepts package outlining ideas for a small Nature Center on land immediately south of the community garden. Board members were told a purchase agreement between the Village and Township for the parcel between the elementary school and the garden is under development.
Elrick was asked to continue refining her concepts and keep the board apprised as the land-purchase negotiations proceed. Board members did not take a vote on the concept or on any land acquisition during the meeting; the item remains at the discussion and concept stage.
The meeting record also notes that Bryon Overly indicated a desire to speak regarding Watkins Park and the possibility of installing pickleball courts, though no formal presentation or vote on that topic occurred.
