Vicksburg school board elects David Schriemer president, Ron Centofanti vice president in 5-2 votes

Vicksburg Community Schools Board of Education members elected David Schriemer president and Ron Centofanti vice president during their regular meeting on Jan. 12, 2026, at Vicksburg High School.
Tina Forsyth moved to nominate David Schriemer for president; Stephanie Willoughby seconded. The nomination passed on a 5-2 roll-call vote. Lisa Hostetler and Rick Burmeister voted no; the other five members voted yes. Later, Stephanie Willoughby moved to nominate Ron Centofanti for vice president, with Tina Forsyth seconding; that motion also passed 5-2 with Hostetler and Burmeister voting no.
The board also appointed Steve Goss as treasurer and Tamara Young as board secretary after a motion by Lisa Hostetler and a second from Tina Forsyth; that appointment passed unanimously. The board approved minutes from Dec. 8 and Dec. 15, 2025; authorized two $5,000 purchase-card limits for the VHS band director and the VHS performing arts center director; and approved the first reading of six district policies (PO 2266, PO 4162, PO 5517.01, PO 8300, PO 8305, PO 9130). All of those actions were approved unanimously.
The votes on the officer positions were recorded by roll call; the transcript notes only that Hostetler and Burmeister cast the two dissenting votes and that all remaining members voted in favor. No further debate on the nominations was recorded.
The meeting adjourned at 8:34 p.m.
