City manager says Planning Commission forwarded Trailside PUD to council

City Manager Martin told the Sylvan Lake City Council on Feb. 11 that the Planning Commission held a public hearing last month and passed a motion forwarding the Trailside planned unit development (PUD) to the City Council for consideration. Martin said the PUD referral will appear on a future council agenda for review; no formal council action on the PUD took place during the Feb. 11 meeting.
Martin also said several operational issues — the boat dock policy, a community center policy and leaf collection — will be discussed at a future study session. The manager characterized enforcement of the boat-dock rules as an ongoing concern, saying he is "frustrated" with residents attempting to circumvent the policy.
The council did not debate the Trailside PUD at this meeting; the Planning Commission’s forwarding action, as reported by the city manager, begins the local review process at the council level.
