Councilmember Clarke asked how the hourly rate compared with other communities; City Manager Martin responded, "the hourly rate is the same across the board for every community that contracts with Oakland County." The council voted to approve the contract (moved by Clarke; seconded by Buchanan).
The motion passed with all councilmembers voting yes. The authorization allows the City Manager to finalize and sign the contract so the county can schedule marine patrols under the new three-year term.
