Chaplin PZC accepts 2016 meeting schedule, approves minutes and reviews issued permits

The Chaplin Planning and Zoning Commission on Nov. 12 approved corrections to the Oct. 8, 2015 minutes, accepted its proposed 2016 regular meeting schedule and reviewed a Zoning Enforcement Officer report listing recently issued permits and current enforcement items.
Eric Beer moved to approve the amended Oct. 8 minutes, a motion recorded with abstentions by Helen Weingart and Randy Godaire and otherwise carried. The commission then accepted the 2016 meeting schedule after PZC Staff confirmed the proposed dates were checked against regular and religious holidays; R. Godaire moved to accept the schedule and E. Beer seconded the motion; the motion carried unanimously.
Zoning Enforcement Officer Jay Gigliotti reviewed issued permits in his report. Items listed included ZP15-040 (Rob Cherrier, 26 & 30 Bedlam Road; Assessor’s Map 55-31) for a 30' x 60' steel storage building that began construction without prior permits; the commission previously allowed use of a hand-drawn site plan with a NECCOG parcel map and the zoning permit was issued on Sept. 15, 2015, followed by a building permit. ZP15-041 (Mark Giggie, 60 Scotland Road; Assessor’s Map 0-9) was approved on Sept. 28, 2015 for a 24' x 24' detached garage; ZP15-042 (Clayton Wright, 260 Tower Hill Road; Assessor’s Map 73-19) for a 12' x 24' storage shed was approved Oct. 20, 2015 with a condition that the ZEO verify setback location; and ZP15-043 (William Jordan, 96 Tower Hill Road; Assessor’s Map 73/13/3) for a 16' x 19' solarium was approved Oct. 20, 2015.
PZC Staff also distributed a spreadsheet of current enforcement actions. No Items Pro Re Nata were noted. The meeting adjourned at 7:39 PM after E. Beer moved to adjourn and H. Weingart seconded.
