Subcommittee refers lead BCBA job description to full committee

Staff presented a proposed lead BCBA job description negotiated with the FRAA that would create a stipend position to lead and supervise the district’s BCBA team.
The proposed duties include supervision and evaluation of other BCBAs, oversight of RBT supervision (now required to be conducted by a BCBA), coordination of ESY behavior supports and professional development, and assisting BCBAs to secure continuing-education options. Staff said the position is a stipend added to an existing BCBA’s duties; the district plans to post the position internally and expects current staff to apply.
Committee members supported the concept as a way to strengthen behavioral supports and evaluation, and the subcommittee voted to refer the job description to the full committee for posting and further consideration.
