During reports the committee considered recommendations from a July 22 workshop with Glenn Coocher of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. The workshop recommended the committee pursue a self‑assessment, professional development and a formal evaluation process for the superintendent.
Committee member Sue moved to charge the superintendent evaluation subcommittee with exploring survey tools for the superintendent evaluation for the 2026–27 academic year. Glenn Coocher told the group that surveys are permissible for superintendent evaluations. The motion was seconded, brought to a vote and passed unanimously.
The action instructs the subcommittee to investigate appropriate survey instruments and report back with options; no specific tool or vendor was selected at the meeting.
