Three Oaks council approves routine agreements, donations and event road closures

At its Nov. 13 meeting the Three Oaks Village Council approved several routine items: an easement for the Swan Song lift station, a 2025–2028 fire protection agreement, a $1,500 donation to Rotary for trees, and street closures for two upcoming holiday events.
The Three Oaks Village Council on Nov. 13 approved a series of routine actions, including an easement for the Swan Song lift station, a multiyear fire protection agreement and funding for community events.
Council accepted the Swan Song Lift Station easement with a correction to the Village address to read “21 North Elm Street.” The motion was moved by Council member Jones, supported by Hinman, and carried unanimously.
Council also carried a motion to approve the Fire Protection Agreement for 2025–2028, with a correction to specify an effective date of Jan. 1, 2025. The motion was moved by Jones and supported by Hinman; the vote was unanimous.
The council approved a $1,500 contribution to the Rotary Club for purchase of trees to support the Village’s Tree City activities; the motion was moved by Thomas and supported by Hinman and carried unanimously.
Council approved closing Elm Street from Maple to Linden for the Prancer Palooza Parade on Dec. 14, 2024 (approx. 5:00 p.m.) and for the Snow Flake Stroll on Nov. 30, 2024. The motion to authorize the road closures was moved by Hinman, supported by Thomas, and carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:16 p.m. and minutes were submitted by Kim Johnson, Village Clerk.
