District to move Young 5’s program to Andrews Elementary amid enrollment declines

Superintendent Nikki Nash told the Three Rivers board on July 14 that declining student enrollment has prompted a reorganization of elementary programming for the 2025–26 school year.
Nash said the district will move the Young 5’s program to Andrews Elementary rather than Norton Elementary, which is now slated to host the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and one K–3 classroom. Norton’s K–3 enrollment remains low, so Nash cautioned that additional adjustments may be required if numbers do not increase; fourth- and fifth-grade students are planned to be absorbed by the district’s other elementary schools.
