Keith reported that he handles general maintenance work orders via email and that the district does not track costs associated with individual work orders. Aaron Dean clarified that the district records spending by broader line items — general repairs, contractors, and general supplies — rather than associating expenses to each specific work order.
Chad Carpenter, head custodian for the elementary school, listed elementary needs that include RTU and RTU #2 bearing replacements, boiler #3 replacement, and network cards to connect boilers to online controls. He also noted gutters and an eventual roof project for the main elementary building.
Facilities Director Bob Flaherty recommended securing an additional contractor quote where only two bids had been obtained for an elementary gym roof repair and suggested Titan Roofing as a third option for evaluation. No funding sources or line-item dollar amounts were specified during the meeting.
The subcommittee discussed the operational implications of not tying costs to individual work orders and the need for prioritized scheduling of HVAC and boiler work. No motions or formal approvals were recorded; staff will return with quotes and recommendations.
