Rocky Hill Board elects Maria Mennella vice chair, Jay Chhabra secretary; moves fall‑sports update

Later in the meeting, Maria Mennella moved — and Brian Clemens seconded — to move agenda item 8 (a fall sports update from Athletic Director Daniel Trudeau) up to item 3A so that the sports update would be heard earlier. The motion carried as recorded (FAVOR: 8‑0).
The board approved a five‑minute recess at 7:37 p.m. (FAVOR: 8‑0) and returned to address remaining items.
A motion to amend and approve the minutes of Oct. 28, 2025, clarifying that Mr. Slattery chaired the civility meeting, was moved by Thomas Cosker and seconded by Brian Clemens. The meeting record lists 'ABTAIN: 2‑0' and 'FAVOR: 6‑0 MOTION CARRIED' for that item; as recorded, the motion carried with six votes in favor and two abstentions.
The meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m.; minutes were to be submitted to the Town Clerk within 48 hours as required by Connecticut General Statutes.
