Dr. Lip, who requested racing items for December, said the commission should consider the racehorse development fund benefit aimed at jockeys and drivers and recommended the commission issue a request for public comment; Commissioners agreed to place the item on the Dec. 18 meeting to allow extra time. Dr. Lip also said a 2025 racing-license amendment was needed for "Plane Ridge," reducing one day from an originally requested 110 days to 109 days, and noted the annual approval of simulcast location premium-free periods and authorized ADW providers.
Commissioner O'Brien said she expects an amendment to Encore Boston Harbor's beverage license on Dec. 18 and estimated that item would take roughly 15 minutes.
