PAF Committee tours Cromwell Town Hall, finds no major issues; roof inspection deferred

Cromwell’s Public Asset & Facility (PAF) Committee conducted a walk-through inspection of Town Hall on Feb. 12, 2026, reporting that the building is generally well kept but that a roof inspection was deferred because of ice and snow. The special meeting began at 9 a.m. in the main atrium at 41 West Street.
The committee recorded four voting members present: Brian Bonneau, John Keithan, Jason LeBlanc and Steve Wygonowski. Town staff attending the inspection included Lou Spina, director of public works; Jon Harriman, town engineer; and Kevin McKnight of the building department.
Committee members, accompanied by staff, toured both the exterior and interior of the Town Hall and reviewed the building’s mechanical systems. Meeting minutes state that overall no issues were observed and that the building is well kept. Because of icy and snowy conditions on the roof, the committee did not perform a rooftop inspection and agreed that staff will schedule that visit for another time.
After the site review, Steve Wygonowski moved to adjourn at 10:06 a.m.; John Keithan seconded the motion. The vote passed unanimously.
The meeting minutes were submitted on Feb. 26, 2026, by Jason LeBlanc. No formal repairs, budget actions, or follow-up assignments beyond scheduling the roof visit were recorded in the minutes.
