Canaan STEAP Implementation Committee forwards trash compactor RFP, discusses pavilion renderings and pool house maintenance

The Town of Canaan STEAP Implementation Committee unanimously moved on March 23 to forward an amended request for proposals (RFP) for a trash compactor to the committee once the RFP is finally completed.
Greg Marlowe, a committee member, made the motion and Chris Wadsworth, a committee member, seconded. The committee recorded the vote as unanimous.
The committee also discussed reaching out to Falls Village Sawmill to schedule a meeting about possible architectural renderings for the planned pavilion. Committee members agreed to pursue scheduling a meeting with the sawmill to explore design options; no formal vote was recorded on that item.
Separately, the Recreation Commission reported plans to pressure wash the pool house in April and to possibly stain it in May as part of seasonal maintenance. The committee reviewed and updated the STEAP project timeline calendar to reflect these and other upcoming tasks.
The special meeting, held in person at Town Hall in Falls Village, opened at 4:05 PM and was adjourned at 5:29 PM after a motion to adjourn by Greg Marlowe, seconded by Catherine Wales, which passed unanimously. Minutes were submitted by committee member Eileen Kinsella.
