Selectboard rescinds Tamposi payment date, approves Denault closing authorizations and accepts Lot H-43 donation

The Selectboard on Aug. 5 moved to rescind a prior motion to pay a $610,000 mediation settlement to Brookline Opportunities LLC on Aug. 16 after counsel for the plaintiff said final subdivision approval was not complete. Brendan Denehy made the motion to rescind; the board voted 5-0 to rescind the earlier payment date.
Brendan Denehy also reported that bond payment documents for the Denault conservation property purchase were prepared separately for each owner. The board approved motions to sign corrected closing documents related to sellers Leonard and Barbara Denault once corrected copies are provided and separately approved signing of closing documents related to seller George Denault; both votes were 5-0.
Separately, the board discussed Lot H-43, noted that cleanup was substantially complete, and approved a motion (after a withdrawal and re-motion) to accept a donation of the land from Jay and Ronda Chrystal and to approve a lot-line adjustment; the motion carried 5-0.
Finally, the board voted to accept and sign a settlement agreement in the PSNH (Eversource Energy) v. Allenstown matter in which Brookline is named; that motion, moved by Brian Rater and seconded by Brendan Denehy, passed 5-0.
