Dave Albery, executive director of the GWBCCC, and committee member Deborah Macon gave council an overview of the commission’s budget before Councilmember Clarke moved to approve it and Councilmember Buchanan seconded. The motion carried with all members voting yes.
City Manager Martin described the water‑service‑line verification as a state requirement to determine whether any customer service connections contain lead. Martin said the city obtained a grant to cover this phase of work. Councilmember Buchanan moved and Councilmember Zubrzycki seconded approval of the contract with Hubbell, Roth, and Clark, subject to final review by the city attorney and the city manager. That motion also passed unanimously.
Votes and procedural details: the GWBCCC budget motion (moved by Clarke, seconded by Buchanan) passed with Mayor Cowper, Mayor Pro‑Tem Segal and Councilmembers Zubrzycki, Buchanan and Clarke voting yes.
