Police say mail-theft cases rising; fire department cites readiness and new generator

VFD logged 31 calls for service in Bunker Hill Village in October with an average response time of 5 minutes, 28 seconds.
Mayor Brown said the mayors of the Memorial Villages are coordinating a meeting with the Harris County District Attorney to discuss the DA's handling of cases from MVPD; Chief Schultz said 91% of MVPD cases are dismissed by the DA's office, a statistic the mayors plan to raise at the intergovernmental meeting.
