The superintendent’s report contextualized the projections with the Michigan Statewide School Facilities Study, which identified a $22.8 billion statewide facilities funding gap and cited an approximate $3 billion gap for Utica Community Schools, underscoring ongoing facility needs beyond current bond funds.
The district indicated the Plante Moran Realpoint projections are recognized by the Michigan Department of Treasury and will be used to guide review of building inventories and long-term planning.
