The Harvard School Committee recorded several unanimous roll-call votes during its July 28 meeting.
Shaw Trust uses: The committee approved using Shaw Trust funds for a staff-room refrigerator and microwave at HES and a fencing project around an elementary play area (the fencing estimate was up to $40,000 and would require Historical Commission approval). The combined request was approved by roll call vote 5–0 (motion moved by Amy Morton, seconded by Liz Joyce).
CPIC schematic-design funding: Members approved a CPIC request to seek up to $100,000 for schematic design work for a Bromfield HVAC replacement project (roll call 5–0).
Policy approvals: The committee approved Policy HA (Negotiations Goals) and Policy HF (School Committee Negotiating Agents) after Policy Subcommittee review and minor wording changes to align with MASC language (roll call 5–0). The committee also approved Policy HB (Negotiations Legal Status) after correcting a citation that had been altered when switching a reference from MGL Section 2 to Section 1 (roll call 5–0).
Minutes and other housekeeping: With a minor typo edit, the July 7 minutes were approved without objection.
All motions recorded in the meeting packet were approved by unanimous vote 5–0.
