The council also approved an abatement item related to B&B Manufacturing nd its Rochester operation, where general manager Rick Talbott said the company has placed just under $330,000 in new equipment orders and plans to reposition six grinding machines and add three employees by the end of October. "...we placed a purchase order to add about just under $330,000 worth of equipment to our location," Talbott said, noting the new hires are expected to be in place by the fall.
Council members moved and approved the Rochester Metal Products matter despite company representatives not being present or authorized to speak. Amy moved the motion and Brian seconded; the chair declared the matters done. For the Kenneth Hall compliance statement, council members discussed reported employee and salary numbers before approving the paperwork by voice vote.
The council did not attach additional conditions beyond standard compliance documentation at the time of the approvals. No formal votes with recorded tallies were reported; the chair conducted voice/hand votes for each motion.
