At its June 11 meeting, the Northern Bristol County Public Health Alliance approved remaining FY25 expenditures and noted several upcoming events. Meghan Russell summarized items that must be spent before the fiscal year ends and asked for member approval.
The expenditures approved included CPI training for regional staff (approximately $3,699 each), additional municipal items (~$3,500), regional staff items (~$1,300), language-line document collection and translation ($99 per document), preregistration for MHOA and MEHA for NBCPHA members (with hotel and mileage covered in FY26), McKesson supplies under $9,999, health equity training on June 24 ($9,900), summer clothing for two staff (~$144), and reimbursement to Taunton for tick remover, sunscreen and condoms. Danielle Gurgel described a ServSafe proctoring opportunity with Kevin Duquette that would allow local food establishments to be proctored locally.
AnneMarie Fleming moved to approve the remaining FY25 expenditures; Sherri Miller-Bedau seconded, and all municipalities present (Attleboro, Berkley, North Attleborough, Taunton) voted in favor. Erika Syokau will send next steps on conference registration and finalize the expenditures for the year.
The alliance also noted upcoming outreach: regional staff will table at Attleboro’s Juneteenth event on June 21, and a health-equity training is scheduled for June 24 at 9 a.m. (virtual).
