Wyatt Chocolate, chief executive of TriStar Horizon, addressed the Fairview Board of Commissioners at the June 18 meeting to thank the commission for supporting the project and to describe next steps in planning and community partnership following a groundbreaking held earlier that day.
Chocolate called the ceremony "the first step of fulfilling our commitment to the city and the residents of Fairview," and said TriStar plans to work through the planning process with city staff, provide regular updates to the commission, and pursue local hiring and partnerships with Fairview schools as construction advances.
Commissioners thanked TriStar for the project and for locating emergency services on the property across from Buoie Park, noting longtime residents expressed pride that the land will be used for community benefit.
The city will continue to receive updates as TriStar advances through permitting and construction phases.
