The Village of Hebron Planning & Zoning Board on Dec. 3 unanimously approved a preliminary site development application for a proposed bank on E. Main Street, located on the eastern Kroger outlot (Parcel #075-344754-00.142).
Scott Sands of Sands Decker Engineering said the project has completed an initial submittal and the design team is working to address Ohio Department of Transportation access onto Main Street. “ODOT traffic study is not needed on a bank branch under 2,900 square feet or less,” Sands told the board. Jim Holman of Community Bank also spoke about the proposal’s progress.
Chair Rick Stoner asked whether the fire department had approved access to the bank site; Economic & Community Development Director Brittany Misner confirmed that the fire department had approved the plans for site access.
Board member Scott Jacobs moved to approve the preliminary site development application; Vice Chair Mike McFarland seconded. The motion passed by a unanimous vote from members Stoner, McFarland, Jacobs and Wolf. Mayor Valerie Mockus was excused.
The approval was for the preliminary site development application as presented; staff and the applicant will continue to work on access issues with ODOT and return with any required final site development plans and permits.
