The Plattekill Town Board adopted a resolution at its June meeting to schedule a public hearing on creating an ambulance district. According to the resolution, the required map, plan and report were filed with the town clerk on June 16 and the board approved a detailed explanation of how estimated assessments for the district were calculated. The notice of hearing and order were placed into the record and the clerk was directed to follow statutory posting and publication requirements.
The resolution was moved and adopted on the record during the meeting; members and the public discussed the need for additional information and asked for clarity on how the assessment and boundaries were calculated. The board noted the materials are available for inspection and the public is invited to attend the July 1 hearing to comment.
