Resolutions approved included final acceptance and authorization of final payment for the 11th–13th Street trail extension and the 11th Avenue trail extension; authorization of final payment for a sidewalk connecting the 11th Street trail to South Maine and the hospital; approval of a contract with Dixon Engineering for annual water‑storage inspections; replacement of a lime‑sludge discharge pump at the water treatment plant; and payment request number 11 (including about $82,000 in change orders) for the city hall/police department renovation. Council members praised the projects’ outcomes, commended staff coordination with downtown businesses for the Main Street rehabilitation and emphasized preventive maintenance for water infrastructure.
A council member asked who will clear snow from the new trail and sidewalk segments near the hospital; staff said the hospital appears to maintain adjacent areas but will confirm ownership and responsibility. Council also noted that a newly installed light near the movie theater was struck by a vehicle and that insurance will cover repair costs.
All project acceptances and payment requests were approved by roll call.
