Summary

Pam reported that the elementary facilities subcommittee had a short meeting to confirm enrollment data and to follow up with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA). MSBA reviewed the district's additional housing development inputs and recommended maintaining a planning enrollment figure of 250 students; staff said the methodology would accommodate modest housing‑related increases (the presentation noted the district could absorb growth to about 280 under contingency plans).
Pam said the subcommittee's aim was to affirm its earlier vote to support 250 as the planning headcount and to proceed to the next MSBA gate; the district is scheduled to meet MSBA on Dec. 13, and if that meeting goes as planned the project would enter feasibility and the OPM procurement process would begin.
The committee appointed a small subcommittee to work with district staff (Michelle and others) on the OPM procurement steps and next‑stage planning. Members emphasized contingency planning and the need to include housing development details in future MSBA submissions.
The presenter reminded the committee that MSBA's recommendation and the district's confirmation are procedural steps in a multi‑stage process; no formal funding decision was made at this meeting.
