Manchester Essex Regional School Committee met Aug. 6 and approved its consent agenda, including warrants and vouchers and the June minutes, and accepted two donations totaling $8,000 to support department subscriptions and a separate anonymous gift for championship banners.
A committee member moved to accept warrants/vouchers 1089–1091 and vouchers 105–107; another member seconded the motion and the committee voted "all in favor," the Chair said. The committee also approved acceptance of the June meeting minutes by unanimous voice.
During the donations item, district staff stated that the MET Boosters offered $6,000 and an affiliated club offered $2,000 toward a department subscription renewal, for a combined $8,000. The presenter said the district was "very grateful for their continued support of both organizations." The committee voted to accept the gifts.
The presenter also described an anonymous donation that will fund replacement of championship banners at the high school; she said the donors selected the most affordable of three bids. The committee approved accepting that gift as well.
No public commenters raised concerns during the public-comment period, and no formal objections to the consent agenda or donations were recorded. The business meeting adjourned back to a summer workshop after routine closing items.
